Materialize The Passing Moment

by Saalik Siddikki

I have been trying to induce, persuade and motivate some of my younger friends, for the last fifteen years, to explore their inner grounds, find the seeds of writing passion and tap their potential of writing in English. Writing anything, short stories, novels, articles/essays for newspapers, magazine and lately writing on internet.

To my chagrin, none demonstrated the courage to accept the challenge. Today, I do admit that, in actual fact, it is me who utterly failed to break the shackles of self imposed compulsions and unleash a great writer, contained somewhere deep inside. I pursued others to help them discovering their talents and abilities while my own passions and obsessions suffered heavily.

Admitting my failure has also shown me a thin beam of hope that I may one day discover the writer that I myself buried under heavy debris of my shattered dreams.

The genetic default of having a flair for writing, creativity and expressing my true emotions is an undeniable truth. Then why I ignored or deceived myself by mis-perceiving that writing is not for me? It is an unpardonable sin for which I am sternly admonishing myself. And I have my own way of doing this.

In addition to various other abandoned blogs, I also created some with purpose that need to be updated regularly and the task is like squeezing the lemon to eke out even the last smallest remaining drop of its sour and acidic juice. That's the price I have to pay for all the complacence, lethargy, procrastination and self-deception.

My dear younger friends, please try to avoid the circumstances that I have been through and don't waste your valuable time in futile activities.

Take full advantage of the passing moment, for it is the only opportunity that you have to avail. Past is gone, future is unknown. Only the passing moment is what you have to manipulate and utilize to your own advantage.

To fulfill your dreams and to achieve your goals, materialize this passing moment using every unit of your intellectual, spiritual and physical energies. Wishing you all the best in the process of moving towards your destiny.

Think big, act intrepidly!

LIFE WITHOUT TICK TICK TICK!

by Saalik Siddikki

The digitalized era has deprived us of many small and simple fascinations that we used to enjoy till four five decades ago.  One of the enthrallments was a rhythmic tick . . . . tick . . . . tick of pendulum clocks.

When I was about 6 and, being the only child of my parents, also was all alone in the house to play with my toys, I was not allowed to go out to play with the street kids for longer periods.  So, I fell victim to indulging in my own world of fantasies.

And most probably that was the only reason that I got into the habit of deep thinking, creative visualization and self-talking.  I read about these subjects in the fourth decade of my life that, quite interestingly, became my favourite subjects for study and practice.

To be very fair, these three subconsciously developed habits have always played a vital role in saving me from mental collapse on numerous occasions.

Sometimes, I wanted to take down the clock to put it among my characterized toys to watch them closely.  I never expressed this kiddish desire to my step mother for fear of admonition.

I had created characters of my own choice; both friends and rivals except the clock.  It never occurred to me to tag it with some name like the toys.  It remained as something very special, beyond fabricated relations that I had with my army of toys.

I remember that my mother would say ‘Look at the clock, when it strikes the hour, your play-time, outdoor, would end.’  I still recall subconsciously visualizing the clock's hands moving to the set time and surprisingly I mostly returned home without inquiring about time from anyone passing by us.  Most of my street-mates were flabbergasted at my accurate perception of the moments when I had to go back home, sometimes even in the middle of the game that I was playing.

We had two pendulum clocks encased in very beautiful wooden frames that were sent to my father, as a special gift, by a friend who resided in England in those days.  My father always expressed his pride in having those valuable clocks sent by his friend.

When I had nothing to do, I used to gaze at the huge clock in our living room.  Its tick . . . tick . . .  tick mesmerized me.  I would move my eyes with the swaying movements of the pendulum in a very soothing, tranquilizing and spiritual rhythm.  And, after a few moments of that hypnotic phase, a kind of very strong energy wave would start radiating in my body moving in a circular motion from head to toe and vice versa.

I assume that many people would have had this type of experience at some stage of their life.

Being the Ring Master of my very own circus, I always got myself engaged in my universe of toys, each of which was labeled as a special character; to such an extent that my mom would yell at me to say something or a clock’s hourly striking sound would break my deep absorption.

In later years, these clocks kept reminding me of their lively presence in the house.  Every moment of 365(6) days of the year recorded sometimes low and sometimes loud tick-ticking during home-studies, listening to radio programmes, enjoying weekend gatherings with friends and, lethargic thinking, relaxing or inducing sleep and of course in all weathers.

There was no escape from those perfectly and mechanically set stubborn tick . . . ticks and chimes of exquisitely designed clocks.

Now, while writing this, I feel that those pendulum clocks, part of every urban household in those days, made us feel the flow of passing time and let the echo of life play a soft but awakening tune for us.

The digitalized era has definitely made some chores of life exceptionally easy, convenient and comfortable for us, but then it also has devoured the mesmerizing tick . . . tick . . . tick of pendulum clocks that were a constant source of reminding us of passage of time and evolution of life.

Besides memorable happy moments of childhood, I also badly miss those tick ticks.

Exercise: Traveling to Another Time and Realm

  by Jock Brocas

This exercise is kindly given by Camilla Persson, who is on the board of the ASSMPI (American Society for Standards in Mediumship and Psychical Investigation). Camilla is a resident expert in out-of-body exploration and an author of many works on the subject. She currently resides and teaches in Sweden and is a member of the Swiss SPR.

Exploring other times and space through inner journeys demands an open mind, right intentions, and a strong will. Back in history there was a secret code of prerequisites for astral travelers, only for the initiate. It said :

  • To know
  • To desire
  • To have faith
  • To be silent
To be able to achieve real astral journeys, you must raise your bodily vibration. By doing this you achieve the state that is the catalyst to your leaving through your crown chakra. This will automatically give you an altered state of consciousness and allow you to reach other planes of existence, such as astral planes and the higher realms of the spirit world. It is called an “inner” journey, but in fact those worlds are not more “inner” than the physical one; it just appears to be like that. These experiences will give you another insight and a different overview.

The key to astral journeys is relaxation and concentration, but both at the same time. You might realize that relaxation and increased focus in mind are in conflict, as you often fall asleep when you get very relaxed. This, however, will decrease after some training and become a natural state for you, where you don’t lose consciousness but instead learn about your hidden resources. When you are ready, you can try to deepen the muscular relaxation as much as possible and, at the same time, increase your awareness. The goal is to achieve a state where your body will sleep but not your mind. You are making a change within yourself with the result of losing earth consciousness. It will be replaced by spiritual awareness, which is a superconscious state of mind.

Self-Induced Practice: Traveling to Another Time and Realm

This is a short exercise that you can try. Do not think that you will be able to achieve success instantly, because it takes some time and practice to induce astral travel effectively. Please note that the time indication is just a suggestion.

Self-Induced Practice: Traveling to Another Time and Realm

This is a short exercise that you can try. Do not think that you will be able to achieve success instantly, because it takes some time and practice to induce astral travel effectively. Please note that the time indication is just a suggestion.

Step One, Approximately Twenty Minutes: Muscular and Mental Relaxation

Lie down on a bed or sofa. Take a deep breath and relax thoroughly. Allow only a happy mental and emotional state when entering spiritual exercises. Drop all your daytime problems and focus on nothing. Try to be calm in mind, and if you have any fears for the exercise and the unknown, please deal with that before doing this exercise. To keep alert, place all your attention, all your consciousness, a bit outside your forehead, just in the third eye, right between the eyebrows, but 4 inches outside your face. Try to hold your spinal cord straight and avoid moving your body. Walk through the body and press the muscles by physical action with your conscious mind, then relax the muscles each in turn and from top to toe.
Allow yourself to relax more and more. If there is any emotional disturbance in your mind, just ignore the thoughts, watch them drift away, and don’t get attached to them. Your thought pattern will slow down for now, and the only thing you should focus on is to get thoroughly relaxed without falling asleep.

Use a breathing technique to mesmerize yourself and help spirit guides to link to you, but don’t drop your consciousness. Remember, your only intention is to deliberately project yourself into a past time and reality.

Step Two, Approximately Thirty Minutes: Linking to Your Inner Light Guide

When you are totally relaxed, try formulating a wish to your inner light guide and ask to see a glimpse of a past life. When you telepathically (in your mind) communicate with your guide’s lines, it will respond in such a way as you are capable to receive. Try to eliminate all other thoughts and ideas and just focus on your wish to explore another time. Be patient and wait for the opportunity. Be aware that you may not be allowed to view this because of the level of your own soul growth. All you can do is ask, and if it is in alignment with your highest good, it will happen.
It’s important to understand that some people will immediately be given an ecstatic conscious experience of another time and place that will astound them for months or even years, while others will have less magnificence and perhaps think it was only a daydream or a fantasy. If that is the case, try to be patient. Keep in mind that there are many ways to perform inner journeys, and some of them are just mind travels not using the astral body. Try not to have any preconceived ideas about how the journey will take place. The answers to your prayers will come; the delivery from spirit is given when spirit thinks the time is appropriate. It’s a true gift from spirit to enlighten you, and it could be on top of whatever you experienced in your life.

Step Three, Approximately Ten Minutes: Content Analysis

Write down your experience and what it meant to you. Repeat the exercise a couple of days later and see if something has changed. Enjoy!
